Impact
The vulnerable component is github.com/distribution/distribution (the v2 module path). Per the GitHub Security Advisory at https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-f2g3-hh2r-cwgc (Distribution: stale blob access resurrection via repo-scoped redis descriptor cache invalidation), the v2 module path is listed as affected with no published fixed version (vulnerable range <=2.8.3). The advisory tracks a sibling github.com/distribution/distribution/v3 module path with a fixed release, but harbor-fips-2.15 vendors the v2 module path, which has no firstPatchedVersion declared. Without an upstream patched release on the v2 module path, this issue cannot be closed by routine dependency-bump automation. A pending-upstream-fix advisory event is justified: the issue should reflect that we are awaiting either an upstream v2 backport, or a package-level migration to the v3 module path.
